Tuesday 24 March 2026 Bexley Music Spring Concert 2026 Last night, our three Adult Ensembles held their annual Spring Concert, this year at Christ Church Broadway, Bexleyheath.The audience were treated to a glorious programme full of quiet moments, contrasting with humour and joviality. Saturday 21 March 2026 SSO Performance The SSO performed their whole work at their termly concert on Saturday 21 March. The partnership also offered discounted tickets to Bexley Music students to all SSO concerts, so we are planning for this to develop into a regular concert-going experience for our students. We look forward to the joint rehearsals becoming a regular feature of Bexley Music's programme for our young instrumentalists.

Saturday 7 March 2026 Side-by-Side Rehearsal with Sidcup Symphony Orchestra On Saturday 7 March, through our partnership with Sidcup Symphony Orchestra (SSO), a joint rehearsal of Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique took place. Students from Bexley Youth Orchestra rehearsed a movement of the piece together with members of the SSO. It was a great opportunity for our students to practise and perform with others, and a fantastic experience.

Sunday 21 December 2025 LSO On Track Our long-standing, valuable partnership with the London Symphony Orchestra - LSO On Track, was demonstrated for all to hear in early December, at the East London Academy Showcase which took place at LSO St Luke's, Old Street. Some of our advanced musicians played alongside members of the LSO and other young performers from 10 East London Music Services, which make up the LSO On Track Partnership. An amazing opportunity for our children and young people. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Friday 28 November 2025 Night Visions Bexley Music Concert 2025 Bexley Youth Band, Bexley Youth Orchestra and Little Big Band were delighted to be invited to perform at The Exchange in Erith on Friday 28th November as part of ‘Night Visions' – an Arts Council supported initiative led by the Bexley Culture Network. The students performed a varied and mixed repertoire for their contribution to the Leaves Fall in Bright Sound programme hosted by The Exchange. The performance at The Exchange, which is a wonderful, intimate venue with excellent acoustics, in the north of Bexley Borough was extremely well-received, and as a result, plans are in place for further performances in the future.

Wednesday 12 November 2025 LSEC Awards Evening Little Big Band was well received at their performance at the LSEC Awards Evening in November, where the performers provided the musical entertainment for the Pre-Awards Reception. Congratulations to all the award winners!

Tuesday 11 November 2025 Remembrance Day 2025 Each year, a Bexley Music trumpet student performs the Last Post during our weekend music sessions. On the Saturday before Remembrance Day, students and staff paused at 11am as a mark of respect to honour those who have died in war. Another moving performance this year.
